TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Definitions

·    "CBD" refers to Child Behaviour Direct.

·    "Trainer" refers to individuals certified to deliver Child Behaviour Coach training.

·    "Program" refers to the Child Behaviour Coach - Train the Trainer program.

·    "Materials" refers to manuals, guides, workbooks, and any other training-related content.

1. Requirements & LIMITATIONS

1.1. This course allows those who work with Children and Families to train their workforce to become certified Child Behaviour Coaches. Trainers and Coaches are required to have level 3 qualifications as a minimum, preferably with a training or teaching qualification.

1.2. Each Trainer can train and oversee up to 12 staff at a time. This ensures training, reports, and evaluations are carried out to a high standard. In order to train more than 12 staff - an additional Child Behaviour Coach Trainer can be certified at a reduced fee (please enquire).

1.3. This training includes an annual licence and is valid for 12 months. After 12 months your licence must be renewed in order to continue training your staff and offer certified parenting support through CBD. Renewal starts at £400 annually (per trainer) and includes a mandatory refresher online training session for trainers.

1.4. A Licence to use can be purchased for larger organisations or school clusters (please enquire). We are happy to offer bespoke packages to suit your needs.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

2.1. All training content, including manuals, guides, and digital materials, is created and owned by Child Behaviour Direct (CBD).

2.2. We kindly ask that you do not reproduce, distribute, modify, or alter any training materials without prior written consent from CBD.

2.3. All intellectual property rights in the program materials and training content remain with CBD. As a Trainer, you're granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use these materials for delivering the Child Behaviour Coach program.

3. Program Participation and Adherence

3.1. We believe in the importance of maintaining the integrity of the program. Therefore, Trainers are asked to follow all program components without deviation. If you have any questions or suggestions, we're here to discuss them with you.

3.2. Our goal is to support you in upholding the program's values and methodologies while using the official materials provided.

4. Certification Process

4.1. As a certified Child Behaviour Coach Trainer, you'll be able to train your workforce to work with parents both 1:1 and in group settings, using the Parent's Guide to Children's Behaviour program.

4.2. To achieve full certification, we ask that you submit satisfactory parenting evaluations to CBD within three (3) months of completing the training.

4.3. We understand life can get busy, so please reach out if you foresee any challenges meeting this timeframe. Otherwise, a delay may result in the certification process being paused.

5. Use of Materials

5.1. We provide you with comprehensive materials to support your training. These are meant solely for your use as a certified Trainer.

5.2. To maintain the quality and consistency of the program, please refrain from copying, sharing, modifying, or adapting these materials without prior written permission from CBD.

5.3. We kindly ask that you do not share access to the training documents with non-certified individuals to protect the integrity of the program.

6. Confidentiality and Data Protection

6.1. We take the sensitive nature of this work seriously. All individual case details should remain confidential and handled in compliance with relevant data protection laws, including the UK GDPR.

6.2. Disclosure of confidential information is only permitted when legally required, such as in cases of child protection concerns. Breaching confidentiality is a serious matter and may impact your certification status.

6.3. Trainers should obtain explicit consent from parents for collecting, using, and storing personal data as part of the program's requirements. We recommend handling all personal data in line with CBD's privacy policy.

7. Ethical Conduct

7.1. As a Trainer, you're an ambassador of CBD, and we trust that you'll maintain the highest ethical standards, reflecting the values of the "Parent's Guide to Children's Behaviour Program."

7.2. If you notice any issues regarding performance or misuse of the program by others, please reach out to Ruth Edensor at CBD so we can address them together.

7.3. We encourage all Trainers to follow the CBD Code of Conduct, which outlines our shared ethical and professional standards.

8. Termination of Agreement

8.1. CBD hopes for a positive and long-lasting partnership with each Trainer. However, we reserve the right to end this agreement if there's a breach of confidentiality, misuse of program content, or other serious concerns.

8.2. Should this happen, we'll work with you on the next steps, which may include ceasing the use of the program materials and returning or destroying any copies of proprietary content.

9. Training Costs

9.1. The investment for this training is £1,500 - payable in full at the time of booking.

9.2. If there are any payment issues, please let us know so we can discuss options to support you.

9.3. Payments are non-refundable, except under the conditions outlined in Section 10 (Cancellation Policy).

10. Cancellation Policy

10.1. Standard Cancellations: We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel, please do so at least sixty (30) days before the training start date for a full refund. Cancellations made within sixty (30) days of the training date are non-refundable. However, training can be rescheduled in a one-time transfer.

10.2. Emergency Circumstances: In case of unforeseen emergencies like a family bereavement or illness, please inform us at least twenty-four (24) hours before the training starts for a refund. If it's within twenty-four (24) hours, we'll arrange a one-time transfer to an alternative training date.

11. Substitutions

11.1. If you need to send a substitute participant to the training, that's perfectly fine! Please notify us as soon as possible with the details. Substitutes should meet the training prerequisites.

12. Class Cancellation by CBD

12.1. In the rare event that CBD has to cancel the class due to low participation or instructor unavailability, we'll notify you promptly via email and/or phone.

12.2. You will then have the option to choose either a full refund or transfer to an alternative training date.

13. Trainer Recertification and Responsibilities

13.1. To keep your certification current and stay updated with the latest information, we invite Trainers to participate in annual training sessions.

13.2. Trainers are encouraged to guide newly trained Child Behaviour Coaches in submitting their evaluations to CBD.

13.3. Please confirm training dates and locations with us in advance and ensure coaches have the necessary manuals and website access.

13.4. Coaches must hold a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate or equivalent to ensure they meet safeguarding standards.

13.5 Trainers must ensure that all Child Behaviour Coaches and Parents have purchased the appropriate accompanying Parent’s Guides and Workbooks to ensure the course is completed to the correct standard.

14. Training Includes:

14.1. As part of the "Train the Trainer" package, you'll receive:

·    Three days of interactive "Train the Trainer" training.

·    A 1-year licence to use for individual schools, please confirm before booking. For larger organisations, please enquire about the licensing requirements.

·    The Child Behaviour Coach training manual and workbook.

·    Access to our online trainer members' portal for additional resources and support.

·    Downloadable resources, including evaluation documents and parent questionnaires.

·    Comprehensive training PowerPoints for use during sessions.

15. Legal Liability

15.1. We're here to support you in every way possible, but CBD is not liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from using or misusing training materials.

15.2. As a Trainer, you take full responsibility for your actions and the outcomes of your coaching sessions.

15.3. CBD's total liability, if any, shall not exceed the total fees paid for the training program.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

16.1. These terms and conditions are designed to be in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.

16.2. In the unlikely event that a disagreement arises, we will first seek to resolve it amicably. Should further steps be necessary, matters will be handled under the jurisdiction of the UK courts.

17. Acceptance of Terms

17.1 Enrolling in the Child Behaviour Coach: Train the Trainer program confirms that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions. We look forward to working with you and supporting you in your journey as a Trainer!

18. Free Places for Hosting the Training

18.1. Free place: Occasionally, CBD offers a complimentary place in the "Train the Trainer" program to organisations or individuals that host the training at their venue. This offer is subject to availability and is at the sole discretion of CBD. Free places are given for a minimum of 4 fee-paying places.

18.2. Host Responsibilities: In exchange for the free place, the host agrees to:

·    Provide a suitable training venue that meets the requirements specified by CBD, including necessary equipment (e.g., projector, seating arrangements, etc.).

·    Assist in promoting and coordinating the training event to ensure a smooth and successful session.

18.3. Notice Period: The host must confirm the availability of the venue and agree to the terms at least 30 days before the training date. Similarly, CBD agrees to provide the host with a notice period of at least 30 days if any changes or cancellations need to occur.

18.4. Complimentary Place Allocation: The free place is awarded to one designated individual selected by the host. This individual must meet the prerequisites for participation in the training program.

18.5. Changes and Cancellations:

·    If either party needs to change or cancel the training, both agree to provide as much notice as possible and collaborate to find an alternative solution, such as rescheduling or finding a new venue.

·    In case of cancellation by CBD, the complimentary place can be transferred to a rescheduled training date or another mutually agreed-upon event.

·    If the host must cancel the venue, CBD will work with the host to explore alternative dates or options to accommodate the training.

18.6. Additional Costs: While the training is complimentary for the designated individual, any additional costs (e.g., travel, accommodation) are the responsibility of the participant or the hosting organisation.

18.7. Confirmation of Agreement: The complimentary place arrangement will be confirmed in writing by CBD and the host, specifying the individual attending and the host's responsibilities. This confirmation must be signed and returned before the training date.
